Temporary 100% hospitalization

+1 vote
My spouse is currently in the hospital and has been since November 2015. He was released to a licensed skilled nursing facility. I read that it may be possible to apply for temporary 100% when hospitalization is greater than 21 days or service connected disabilities or for non-service connected disabilities where service connected issues are being cared of. Any help pr assistance that anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated.

I was able to find some information on the VA website.

More information can be found here:

It is possible for a veteran to receive 100% disability when they have been hospitalized for more than 21 days for a service-connected disability. The link will also explain how to apply.

Now that your spouse has been released to a skilled nursing facility, I am not sure how that applies or what can be changed during the veteran's rehabilitation. Please call the VA nad find out more information before applying so that you can clarify that he was in the hospital, but he is rehabilitating now.
